1968 Vintage Single World of Barbie Blue Green Doll Case - Mattel #1002 - NM
This belonged to a friend of ours who carried it around for decades. She found it when she was packing a moving van to more out of state and asked me to sell it for her.
This blue case, from 1968, is in near mint condition. The buckle latch works and has a tiny bit of rust, which Dr. Google suggests many ways to spruce up. The handle is black, and in excellent condition, and attached to matching metal studs, for lack of a better word.
The scuffing is minimal and we suspect some of the white scuffing is paint, but no way in Hellsinki are we going to attempt to remove it.
The inside plastic is in excellent condition and is very bright white for being 57 years old.
The upper closet contains a metal rod to hang the clothes on.
The only thing we see wrong is a small tear up near the handle about ¾”. We think it is possible to clamp and glue to reinforce the tear but do not think we should try because of where it is situated.
There is no pull out drawer.
Finally, there is NOTHING wrong with the green vinyl on the case. The color is washed out because it’s a red table. It is the usual, vibrant neon-ish green of all the other cases shown. Sorry, it’s winter in Michigan. It’s the best I can do.
We will happily answer any questions or send close-ups pictures that you need.
The case weighs 1 lb, 2 ozs. With box it weighs 1 lb. 13 ozs.
