Keyboard Player Wanted – Torn Covers (Classic Rock/Folk/R&B) – SE Michigan
Keyboardist Wanted for New Project – Torn Covers
We’re looking for an experienced keyboard player to be part of a developing project that reimagines great songs from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.
This is a tribute but it isn’t a tribute band. The goal is to take familiar songs and give them fresh arrangements and creative parts and interpretations while still respecting what made them classics.
Artists include:
* The Beatles
* The Byrds
* The Hollies
* Van Morrison
* Neil Young
* Bob Dylan
* The Temptations
* CCR
* The Youngbloods
* The Band
…and many others.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Plays tasteful piano, organ, electric piano, and synth textures.
* Enjoys creating parts rather than copying recordings exactly.
* Sings harmony (a big plus, but not required).
* Is dependable, prepared, and easy to work with.
* Likes collaboration and leaves the ego at home.
* Is interested in building something that can become a solid gigging act.
Current focus is rehearsing, developing arrangements, and building a strong set list before pursuing regular performances.
Most rehearsals are in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. Grove Studios.
We’re a group of seasoned musicians of a “certain age” who believe rehearsals should be productive, creative, and fun. No drama, substance issues, or rock-star attitudes.
If this sounds like your kind of project, send a note with:
* Your musical background
* Influences
* Whether you sing harmony
* Links to recordings or videos if you have them (not required)
Let’s build something that audiences haven’t heard before—songs they know, played in ways they didn’t expect.
