As a former violin, cello and bass repairman, as well as a bass major at U of M, I’ve played quite a few basses. This one has a properly graduated tight grain spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, and a longer than usual ebony fingerboard. I’ve upgraded the tuners and end pin. I also replace the tailpiece with a rosewood version. It also has a new bridge with adjusters. It’s cosmetically near perfect with a deep brown varnish. Cushy case included. It's currently set up for classical, but would be a great instrument for jazz with a change of strings. It’s a 3/4 bass with a string length of 40.75 inches. Ribs are 8 inches.
