This is a very nice square-shaped Fossil watch with a thick leather band. It doesn't show a lot of signs of use but it has been worn. The model is JR-9990.
The problem is that the battery is dead. I've tried a couple of local places to see if they could replace the battery but, because of the square design, no one has a press to put the cover back on to ensure the water resistant feature. I talked to Fossil on the phone and I would have to mail the watch to their facility in Dallas, TX to get the battery replaced ($33 total for this).
So here's the deal. You can buy it, as is, for $40 and be responsible for the battery or I can send it in to Fossil. If I send it in, I'll be asking $75 but would require a deposit of $35 (Venmo, Paypal, cash). If they tell me the watch doesn't work after the battery replacement, I'll refund your deposit, so no risk to you. If it does work, I'll need the balance of $40 and it's yours. I'm just trying to gauge interest in the watch before I take a chance. I will have no need of a working Fossil watch that I can't sell if I get the battery replaced in advance.
