This is a high-quality, hand-loomed rag rug that has been in our family since new. It features a bold, checkered pattern in electric pink, black, and white. This isn't a thin, mass-produced mat; it's a sturdy, well-crafted textile with a great weight to it.
The Details:
• Dimensions: Approximately 28" wide x 40" long (excluding the hand-tied fringe). A generous, wide-accent size.
• Condition: Excellent Vintage. This rug has been stored in a tub for years, protecting it from sunlight and wear. There are no stains or visible flaws, and it appears to have never been washed, leaving the colors exceptionally crisp.
• There is no material tag or what appears to have been one so it is possible that this was my grandmas from mid-century.
• The Feel: Remarkably supple and soft—no stiffness or "crunch" at all.
• Construction: Traditional hand-loomed weave. In keeping with this style of rug, the fabric ends are tucked to the back side, giving it an authentic, textured look and feel.
