This vintage pattern was introduced around 1914, with a black Greek key on the gold band, and an "M" on the bottom signifying Morimura, and indicating with "Nippon" that it dates back to 1914.
Gold rim edges and gold decorated handles make this a beautiful set (but not safe for microwave due to the gold trim).
Originally a service for 12, but a few pieces are chipped or missing. A 7 piece complete service for 8 people, with a complete service for 11 people if you don't use the cups. 87 total pieces, less 3 chipped ones.
