Vintage Avon Super Sleuth Magnifier Wild Country After Shave – NM - $10 (Ann Arbor)

This is yet another item that fell off the end of shelfs which had no drywalled right wall. Things that fell off were lost for decades until we moved the filing cabinet that was next to the space and found them.
Obviously, this was covered with a lot of dust, but it cleaned up very nicely. The handle to the magnifying glass is the bottle that holds the Wild Country After Shave. We’re pretty sure it’s been used as the liquid level comes about a pinky fingers’ width below the lower ridge from the top.
The magnifying glass appears to be in perfect condition. The ‘glass’ itself might be plastic, but I’ve never heard of magnifying plastic, so I am probably wrong. The gold-tone rim is shiny, bright and definitely plastic.
The only things we see wrong is the original box itself has a couple of nick and notches. Please see pictures!
We are unsure of the year manufactured, but since everybody says 1979, we’re going along with them!
Either way, it is a 70s kind of jazzy magnifying glass.
Packed for shipping, this weighs 15 ozs and is 9” x 7” x 4”.
