This horse blanket comes from Nana’s estate. Nana was an equestrian and spent most of her life around horses and horse enthusiasts. While at the end of her life she didn’t ride anymore, it doesn’t mean her house wasn’t full of horse books, and accumulated horse items and boxes of stuff she couldn’t bear to part with.
This blanket was one of those things. It is dark green, and unfortunately, that translated to teal when placed on the orange-ish patio deck.
Not being horse aficionados ourselves, we’re not even sure what we’ve got here. While I do remember her telling me it was a horse blanket; I just envisioned it ON a horse. And since I’d never seen horsehair in my life (other than on a horse running by in a pasture) I’m really not sure if that is a euphemism of a style or type of a blanket or it’s actually made out of it.
This being said, please, please zoom in on these pictures. This blanket is NOT in perfect condition, but similar ones have been whip-together with tears closed and were priced much higher. This blanket does NOT have rips, but a couple of places are getting threadbare. Since we don’t do returns, we want to be very, very, sure you know what YOU are doing so you can tell us if something is wrong. This estate has requirements and we are trying to do the right thing, both by Nana, and her grandkids, and we are pretty sure we have fairly priced this blanket.
We would love to send more pictures if there is something you’d like a close up for. And we would very much like more information about these kind of blankets.
