Nana’s Amazing Vintage Handmade Crocheted Winter White Decorative Pillow
Does anyone else remember Jiffy Pop Popcorn? Hold that thought.
This beautiful pillow was found in Nana’s bedroom after she passed. Since we were dealting with 2 deaths within 6 weeks, her things were thrown in boxes and placed in our attached garage.
This was in storage in the garage and we don’t sell things that aren’t clean, or if we do, we explain exactly what needs to be done. A pillow? No problem, throw it in the laundry. So we did.
What came out was a sorry mess. Flat: all the stuffing in the wrong place. I got my husband to verify…yep, it was dead.
Beyond reason, I threw it into the dryer. We didn’t think it would be redeemable, but why not try?
About 45 minutes later, we took it out of the dryer and were stunned. Not only was it clean, and smelled great, it was twice the size it was when we threw it in the washer.
And he said, ‘Jiffy pop’.
Cleaned and ready to go, this handmade vintage pillow measures 16” in diameter (ruffle to ruffle) and is 7” thick. It has a crocheted front, a 1 ¼” ruffle around the diameter, and backing appears to be linen. It’s not perfect, nothing handmade is, but it’s pretty darn close.
Truly, a beautiful decorative pillow that will work with any color scheme you have, in any room you need an elegant pillow.
Boxed for shipping, this weighs 2 lbs and measures 13” x 13” x 7”. It’s a pillow…it fits : )
