Sid (AKA Ghost Kisser) is a 15 YO OTTB. He was terrible at the track, just didn't want to run! Not so amazingly, his lack of enthusiasm for the track has made him an awesome pleasure horse. He has worked with children since 2015, in both summer camps and therapeutic settings. Sid was also a mount for a young lady at Special Olympics! He has the foundations of dressage, but our shared love has always been the trails. We've done 2 trips across the Michigan Shore-to-shore trail, plus many outings at city and state parks. He's a well traveled guy and we have literally hundreds of trail miles together! Sid is fine with tractors, bikes, dogs, cars, deer, etc. I avoid the worn out phrase "bomb proof", but I would trust him with just about anyone. Sadly, I can no longer afford to keep him, and so I am offering him to the RIGHT family for an amazingly cheap lease, leading to ownership. Sid is sane and sound, almost anyone can ride him. He is currently again working with beginner and/or challenged kids, and does not HAVE to move. I just am tired of driving the long distance to see him, and am not offered enough riding time with him. What I'm hoping for is a family of riders that just need one more horse so everybody can ride. He is at a safe place, and does not have to move, so I can be and will be VERY picky about who his next people will be. Please read my qualifications below:
1) Must have your own place. No boarding out or rented property will be considered
2) You must live within 30 minutes of Adrian, MI
3) Must have at least 1 other equid as company
4) Vet and farrier references will be required
5) I would like to visit and ride occasionally
This is an offer for a permanent home, not a seasonal lease. Trying to set him up with a forever home, as I expect not to be riding for very many more years. If you think he might be the right guy for you, PM me!
