Chelsea. Michigan. These stunning vintage MCM mid century table lamps are a rare gem, preserved in very nice vintage condition. From my grandmother’s collection. Mid-century modern rare survivor.
The bottom of the lamps are covered with the original fabric protecting the table from the underlying metal base, which was a common practice by several mid-century lamp manufacturers. The fabric is glued on and was used to prevent the lamp from scratching surfaces, but it also hides any brand markings or stamps that could be present on the metal underneath.
I prefer not to disturb the fabric, so focused on identifying the lamp by its design elements, which closely resemble those produced by L&LWMC (Louis and L. W. McCoy Manufacturing Co.). My grandma’s living room was filled with L&LWMC lamps and accessories, all from this living room Italian European Provincial style.
They haves been on display only in a formal, “for show” living room in only 2 home ever and always away from UV window. One of the lamps still features its original Detroit Edison lightbulb, adding to its authenticity and charm.
These lamps showcases a classic Hollywood Regency aesthetic with an ornate gold-tone cast metal base adorned with intricate floral and fruit detailing, beautiful ceramic stick, paired with its original pleated drum shade with gold trim. These elegant pieces stand 42” tall with the shade, offering a touch of opulence to any room.

• Ceramic Body:
• The smooth, elegant vase shape of the body in soft white cream with minimal decoration is a hallmark of mid-century modern design. This style mixes minimalism with a touch of luxury—clean and simple but paired with an opulent base.
