This Mid Century Beauty is in great shape for being around since at least the 1970s (or maybe even the 1960s). It is one of those rare MCM floor lamps with the built-in table. We have joked that it is probably the only lamp ever made with its own door-knocker. You can see some brass at the bottom but we ‘think’ the door-knocker is also brass. You would have to verify that yourself, sorry. The original lampshade comes with the lamp, and feels like a silk. Again, you need to verify that for yourself, as well as be VERY careful with it. It has started to tear on the inside shade material, which doesn’t show on the outside shade material.
Please research these floor lamps with tables. We are pretty sure if this is fully restored, it would be worth upwards of 1K. Awesome, almost one of a kind!
Finally, why did we call this a Cabin lamp? Because, back in the dark ages of the 1970s, the only place you would see this type of lamp was at a summer cabin at the lake and we remember seeing at least one there. And most people didn’t have top-of-the-line things at the lake house. Which is why we think this is probably 1960s.
This price is FIRM, sorry!
Dimensions are 18” x 18” by 60”.
As everyone knows, Craigslist has a ton of scammers. Then Facebook Marketplace became the same way. Nextdoor followed suit. We really do not want to play those games. We are happy to answer any questions you have. We are not willing to have you pay extra for any item, to send you a security code that risks our computer system, or hold something until you get into town for a couple of weeks. Our listings will go to the first person who shows up, likes the item, and pays for it. Again, we are not trying to be mean; we are just trying to find the ‘real people’ on this site; not the scammers. One final point, yes, we do have an out-of-state telephone number but we do live in Ann Arbor and have for the last 5 years. No, we will not change our phone numbers as we had them for decades. To all the real people on this site, thank you for reading this and we truly hope you have a great day!
