RARE Retro Vintage Anthro Computer 2 Shelf Adjustable Rolling Cart
This amazingly beautiful Anthro Cart Desk is in beautiful condition. Funded by Tektronix in 1984, the Anthro Corp. was the leading manufacturer of technology products for the new computer market. Their product line was known for its well-made design, function and durability.
Sporting a faux wood surface, this cart glides on wheels, two of which can lock down so it doesn’t roll while in use. It has an adjustable lower shelf which can be positioned up or down every inch up the pipe. The base has large, strong, round piping, for want of a better descriptor, built to safely move the large and heavy computers and monitors of 30 years ago.
We do not see any rust, but please zoom in and verify for yourself, eh, because old eyes here. We want you to be sure what you are purchasing.
The cart is L 36 ½” x 25” wide x 26” H with a lower shelf being 21 ½” x 24.” It also has wheels that are 2 ¼” in diameter.
Just a note about pricing. Please do a detailed search on this product. There is one for sale in Portland for a steal, but they don’t ship. We cannot find a recent Anthro sale anywhere else. We did find a few listed and sold a while ago that were mostly similar, but not quite the same, and those ranged in price from $800 to over $1100. The new Anthro medical carts, which are really similar, and which we assume is really Ergotron, and are also 36” wide are $2382 to $2619. That information can be found at ColonialScientific.com. Or message us for the link. This price is firm and more than fair.
Thanks for viewing this piece of history on wheels!
