Nana's MCM VINTAGE Small Narrow Metal Typewriter Roller Table - Bonus Mat – READ
This was found in Nana’s Present Room but was in the office area. She had done a lot of typing in her past life and it was set up as if she intended to get back to work. Whether or not that was true, it never happened.
This held her IBM Correcting Selectric II. Meaning, that was a very large and very heavy typewriter easily held by this somewhat dainty typewriter roller table. We were shocked to find the mat under that semi-monstrosity. But it is spongy which helps to keep the typewriter on the table. Obviously, it will not withstand racing through office hallways and skidding around corners.
This is probably MCM 60s construction, with long tapered legs ending in a very small set of wheels.
This is NOT PERFECT. There is some rust spotting starting so please zoom in and verify so you are comfortable in what you are buying.
And it has one overwhelming flaw…we think this was a drop leaf table. We have never seen any unexplained metal shelves anywhere in her possessions and people from that generation NEVER EVER throw anything away. They might eventually come up for a use for it. Please zoom in on the upright pictures and you’ll see what we mean.
This rolling desk is 19” x 14 ½” x 26 ½”.
