Philips AF-877 Custom Base - Final Reduction - To be Delisted - $125 (Farmington Hills)

This Philips AF-877 has been modified with a wooden base to replace the warped plastic base that these decks are known for. The turntable has a suspended sub-chassis isolating it from external vibrations and making it less susceptible to foot falls. The tone arm is a lower mass unit with quality needle bearings. It also features a proprietary removable headshell. All the controls are electronic touch sensitive, and a fairly accurate stylus pressure gauge is built in. The “Direct Control” speed regulation circuitry is highly effective, and the speed is spot on.
All functions work properly including the electronic speed settings, the auto return mechanism, the reject function and the adjustable pitch control. The belt is approximately 2 years old. The turntable is not set up for use with hinges on the dustcover as I always removed it for playing, which is advised. I am including the hinges if the new owner wishes to modify the base to install them.
