Vintage Infinity Q3 stereo speakers in very good condition. All drivers are original, the crossovers were rebuilt, mid-woofer, mid and tweeter pots were restored. The cabinets were sanded, re-stained and oiled. The grille frames restored and the original grille screens (with badges) are in excellent condition. Needless to say - these speakers sound amazing. A factory recommendation of 60 to 250 Watts for amplifier power is accurate but the amplifier absolutely must be a high current capable amp.The easiest way to determine if you have a high current amp is, as an example, if at an impedance of 8 Ohms, the amp puts out 100 Watts - and at 4 Ohms, the amp puts out 200 Watts, or any doubling of the output power when halving the impedance. The Watkins woofers in these speakers have a dual 2 Ohm and 4 Ohm voice coil. This means that when lower frequencies are reproduced the amp will work much harder than it has to at 8 Ohms or 4 Ohms. An appropriate amplifier is mandatory. These speakers are rated at 4 Ohms (nominal) so an amp capable of 4 ohms should be considered the starting point. A little to "chew on" but the result is quite impressive. These speakers have a frequency response of 28Hz to 32kHz - and are more than enough for a small to large sized room.
