About the China and Its History
This elegant Kent “Courtship” china was made in Japan during the mid 20th century, a period when Japanese manufacturers were producing some of the finest export-quality dinnerware in the world.
Japanese china from this era is known for:

Provenance
These pieces were my grandmother’s from new, acquired during a time when she was working long hours at the Ford stamping plant and taking as much overtime as she could to purchase quality, lasting items for her home. Based on that period in her life and the classic pink floral styling, the pattern is believed to date to the late 1950s to early 1960s. The china was stored in her china cabinet in a nonsmoking, pet-free home, rarely handled, and only gently washed on occasion to remove dust.
Because a small number of pieces from her complete set have an edge imperfection from display, I have decided to sell all the pieces that have no flaws as replacement pieces individually. All the ones posted are excellent condition unless noted.
