These two programs highlight the University of Michigan’s basketball teams during the mid-1970s. One program is from the March 1, 1975 matchup with Purdue while the other is from the March 6, 1976 game with Northwestern
Johnny Orr was the head coach, with Jim Dutcher and Bill Frieder as assistants. In 74-75, Joe Johnson and C.J. Kupec were co-captains and co-MVPs. Wayman Britt was captain during the 75-76 season and Ricky Green was team MVP.
The 74-75 team went 19-8 (second in the Big Ten). The 75-76 team went 25-7 (second in the Big Ten).
Both programs have player and coach information—past and present—some great ads from the Ann Arbor area.
The programs are in good shape, with only a few pencil marks on the scorecard page
It’s a great look at Michigan Basketball from 50 years ago.
