This dress was given to our daughter before she even finished growing, by a wonderful neighbor who had purchased it for a event show she was promoting. She then changed her mind and bought another dress. It was bagged in the original Terani bag for a couple of years, transferred to a tall wardrobe box to bring across the country when we relocated to Michigan, and promptly rehung on its thicker, white, hanger so it never touched the floor! This dress is incredibly heavy because of intense beading. The only time it was out of the bag was when we took pictures, which required 2 of us. Eventually, we found someone willing to model the back of the dress.
This beautiful dress ended up not being my daughter's size and was never used. She needs to sell it as she will never be able to use it. She would like to pay for extras at college :)
Researching this dress, we found that it is unavailable anywhere else we looked. We don’t know if they would remake it if contacted. We do know that whoever buys this dress has a dramatically lessened chance of somebody else wearing the same dress at the same function. ; )
Also, please note: we are not familiar with Terani Couture and have no idea on if the sizing runs true, or smaller, than usual. We have been told that if you go to (www) teranicouture.com and look up there info on sizing for this dress – P3103 Aqua, it may be possible to figure out for sure if this will fit.
A local tailor can take it in as needed.
Or, please search “Terani Couture p3103” which will get you pages of websites with this dress, all of which said they were ‘sold out’. You can see a picture of an actual person wearing this dress. There is nobody in this house that can wear that dress. Sigh.
We do not offer returns – so please make sure it fits.
Here is some basic information on this type of elegant dress.
Mermaid dresses flare at the knee, giving you a dramatic, and curvier, silhouette. It also makes your waist look longer.
This dress is sleeveless. This dress has ribbons in a small bag and we *think* a way to attach them as straps. We do not know how, or where, and please assume we are wrong.
Mermaid hemlines are asymmetrical, which you can see the hem UNDER the chiffon-y material in the picture. This dress also has a ruffled hem, and a tiny train, which is called a sweep, or a brush. These are features of a more elegant dress.
Please note the placement of the jewels. This dress has multicolored jewels, but from afar, makes long silver lines which makes one look taller and thinner (as compared with horizontal lines). This dress has a visual ‘flow’ to it.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
