It’s taken me five years, but I have finally come to the conclusion (read, accepted) that I am not a mountain biker and owning one does nothing more for my garage than add to the décor on the wall. Pre-kid I had hopes – dreams even – that I would shred the gnar as the youth (definitely) say with the best of them, but in reality, I just do my roadie turned very, very serious privateer nonsense on the same dozen gravel roads in the surrounding Ann Arbor area. My revelation will hopefully be to your benefit.
Strava says I have put 852.8 miles (137244.86 Decameters) on this bad boi, and that feels pretty spot on. There are a few scratches and marks of wear – all significant ones are shown in the photos. The most notable is on the headtube. Other component wear is on-par for a mountain bike ridden 852.8 miles. Almost everything is stock as listed in the product page/link above. The only differences are the change of the ‘Bontrager Line Elite Dropper Post’ for an ‘e*thirteen Vario Dropper Post’ with a ‘Wolf Tooth Dropper Post Lever’. Additionally, the saddle is changed from the ‘Bontrager Montrose Elite’ to an ‘SQ Labs 614’. I have all of the original items and can change-out if desired.
