We are truly sorry that the picture of this one looks more beige than it is. This is that old vintage gun-metal gray from the Mid Century era.
This is the third tape dispenser that he had, just like the boxed one from yesterday, and it works well, but this one is used.
This was also found on one of the shelves in my FILs office. This doesn’t have a box and it was pretty beat up looking. So, I also took a baby wipe to it, like the gold one listed a few minutes ago, and was amazed at how great it looks like cleaned up. Seriously, what is this stuff made of?
I guess the real question is why we allowed corporations to make garbage quality that has to be constantly replaced by the buyer?
This monster weighs 4 lbs 9 ozs and is definitely weighted to hold in place what with its rubber bottom. This is 9 7/8” L x 3 ½” W x 3 ¼” tall at the highest point. 4 ½” with core.
This has very little wrong with it. There’s a dot of rust at the inside where the tape cuts. There are a few tiny dots around the base as well as some minor nicks. Please zoom in and verify for yourself. Not perfect, but darn close.
Since the new version of this had a box, we have found this model is very rare. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one other box listed to help us guesstimate the year it was made. It feels very MCM Mad Men-ish, though.
For safe shipping, this needs to be sturdy large box that fits a secondary box for the plastic core. Boxed for shipping, this weighs 5 lbs 8 ozs and measures 13” x 7” x 7”.
