It depicts a scene from the beautiful city of Suzhou, which is often dubbed the "Venice of the East" or "Venice of China" because of its beautiful canals, stone bridges, and pagodas.
The stitches in this embroidery are so fine and delicate that they almost look as if they were painted.
The beautiful hand-carved frame is a work of art as well.
Excellent vintage condition, it comes in the yellow box shown in the pictures.
