These four souvenir postcard folders are from the 1940s, one featuring Northern Michigan, one on Petoskey sights, and two on Traverse City.
The Northern Michigan folder has 9 two-sided color lithographed postcards (18 in all) showing such sights as Indian River, Cross Village, the Mackinaw City Ferry dock, Cheboygan, Ramona Park Well in Harbor Springs, Walloon Lake, and Charlevoix Harbor, among others.
The Petoskey folder has 8 two-sided postcards (16 in all) and shows such sights as Mitchell St. in Petoskey, the Hotel Perry, Mineral Well Park, the Petoskey and Bay View Country Club, and the Pere Marquette train station, among others. It’s in an accordion style.
The yellow Traverse City folder, postmarked 1947, has 8 two-sided postcards and a single one (17 in all) featuring downtown Traverse City back in the day, Clinch Park, Shuffle Board courts, and Glen Lake. It, too, is in an accordion style.
The Views of Traverse City folder has 3 two-sided postcards with scenes from Front St., the State Hospital, a cherry orchard, and the Old Mission Bluffs and Traverse Bay. It is in a page-turning format.
Altogether, there are 57 color postcards.
NOTE: The shaded postcards are only because of the sunlight angle. All the postcards are clear and colorful.
As you can see from the photos, all four are in great shape for being over 75 years old.
