Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp. moved from North Carolina to Louisville, KY, in 1927.
In the mid-1930s, the company introduced a Bugler Thrift Kit, designed for the do-it-yourselfer.
This gadget has all its parts and still works.
On each side of the rocker arms is written “Made For Use With Brown & Williamson products.
On the bottom is a message allowing you to buy “Additional Aprons” for a nickel each.
The original Bugler Thrift Kit box is also included. On the inside, a previous owner had taped the top part of the backs. Luckily, most of the graphics aren’t affect. I also have the original shipping box.
The two packs of rolling papers include a Prince Albert Crimp Cut papers (only a few) and a full pack of French LLF papers from the late 1800s.
The roller itself is 6 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches tall.
