Exercise Research Study – Research Study Volunteers Needed

Obese volunteers needed, age 18–45, for research study to evaluate the impact of exercise on insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism. You must be ~30-75 lbs overweight (but otherwise healthy), inactive, and on no medications that affect your metabolism. The study includes a minimum of three overnight visits to the University of Michigan Hospital. Blood and small muscle tissue samples will be taken during these hospital visits. Compensation is determined by the number of study trials completed. Other benefits subjects receive: free health assessment, body composition analysis, and free nutrition consultation with a dietitian. For more information please email smlstudies@umich.edu.
