We are a family of three. 2 adults on baby and we are homeless. We are in need of a home badly and are now filling like no one cares. We have jobs and income but no home. I look on craigslist all the time and see people who want so much money when Michigan is one of the top broke states in the U.S. yet people want an arm and leg to live. I dont understand. Anyone want to move to Arbor Knoll?? I've lived there before and like the area because its quite and I always felt my car/stuff was safe, yet its not really in Ypsi and its not far from Ann Arbor (1 exit) close to 23 & I-94.

The price is great and the floor plans are nice, but don't move in here, this place is a ghetto! Drugs are dealt out of many apartments and I had a gun pulled on me. They say they have security, but the people at the front gate let in banned people any way. They don't know how to do their jobs there and the places are too hot in the winter in which you can't control the temp. and don't get cold enough in the summer to cool the back bedrooms. Bugs seem to be a problem as well, I had the exterminator come out 3 times in 5 months and finally gave up. This place is miserable and I would give them a D- rating. Just a warning to all people looking.

My husband and I are DESPERATELY looking for an apartment to live in. At the moment, we are living with my parents, but any adult couple who has ever lived with their parents, or even stayed with them for a long vacation, knows that it's only fun for a while! We moved in with them this past spring and we are very ready to find another place of our own. We were living in Ann Arbor, however my husband got laid off from his old job and we were without any income for a long time. We lost all of our credit, we had our second car repossessed, and we were asked to leave (NOT evicted from!) our apartment, so we had no other choice but to live with my family. Now that our finances are back to normal, we need to move out and soon! My parents live in a small home and we are constantly bumping elbows and sometimes, getting on each others last nerve.

We would like to stay as close to my husbands work as possible, and he works in Manchester. We could go as far south as Adrian, west as Brooklyn, east as Ann Arbor/Saline, and North as Chelsea. We would like an apartment, no house sharing. Studio is fine, 1 bedroom would be better, 2 bedrooms would be the best. We can pay utilities, but please! We need to keep the rent as close to $400 a month as possible! Also, if we could only pay a LOW deposit, that would be wonderful. We have a steady income now, but it's not a lavish one. It doesn't have to be a fancy place, but clean, safe, mostly quiet, and... we MUST be able to keep our basset hound! He is the sweetest, quietest, most clean dog I have ever seen in my life. He is like our canine child and we will never, ever part with him. He is UTD on his shots, he is registered, and he is neutered. He has never had and accident in the house, he doesn't chew, and he is very friendly. We would be willing to pay a reasonable pet deposit and/or an extra amount each month for him.
