FACT: The Federal Reserve is a cartel of private banking corporations which lend money to the United States. It is touted as if it were a Government Agency. IT IS NOT. The Federal Reserve Bank, through its inflation of the money supply and the distortion of free markets resulting from its intervention, is responsible for the current financial and economic crisis. The current round of "bailouts" and federal government nationalization of large segments of the financial sector further inflates the US dollar and disrupts the proper funtioning of the markets and will ultimately serve to plunge the nation into an even more severe crisis, quite possibly even into a serious depression. Our goal is to educate Americans so we can have a sound monetary system in this country, and not be held at gunpoint by a private banking cartel who pretends to be a government entity.

Stephen Kinnard moved way too much as a kid. As a result, he saw a lot of the U.S. and started snapping photos during a move from Oklahoma to California when he was twelve. After spending his high school years in Ann Arbor, he traveled extensively as a young man and student of photography. The journeys resulted in a collection of stunning and often playful images. Now he returns to Ann Arbor to make it his home and the subject of his most recent work. He illuminates familiar details of the Huron River, buildings, and wildlife and brings them to life in images.

The evening will begin with registration and a cocktail social (open bar for entire event) followed by a formal sitting dinner commencing at 7:15pm. After dinner, then let the party begin!!! Reconnect with you old classmates and even get to know some new ones as the entertainment keeps things going till midnight.

An Afterglow party for anyone interested will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn-Plymouth at 14600 Sheldon Rd immediately following at the Great American Grill, offering a cash bar until 2am with no restrictions for an ending time.

On October 24, the International Day of Climate Action will cover almost every country on earth, the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet�s history.

There will be big rallies in big cities, and incredible creative actions across the globe: mountain climbers on our highest peaks with banners, underwater demonstrations in island nations threatened by sea level rise, churches and mosques and synagogues and ashrams engaged in symbolic action, star athletes organizing mass bike rides--and hundreds upon hundreds of community events to raise awareness of the need for urgent action.

Every event will highlight the number 350--and people will gather at some point for a big group photo depicting that all important message.

The thousands of events on October 24 will drive 350 and all that it represents into the human imagination, and change the negotiating environment as we head towards the crucial UN Climate Negotiations in Copenhagen in December of 2009. Copenhagen may well be the pivotal moment that determines whether or not we get the planet out of the climate crisis, and your actions on October 24 will help our leaders realize we need a real solution that pays attention to the science.

So you might be wondering what you can do to be apart of this great global event.

Join us at The Diag at The University Of Michigan campus at 1pm on Saturday, October 24th to represent Michigan and show that we care about climate change.

Get your questions answered, and hear the personal story of someone from Massachusetts who legally married her wife on May 17, 2004.

Robyn Ochs is a long-time activist, and the editor of the Bisexual Resource Guide and the new anthology Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World (2nd edition).

Robyn has taught courses on GLBT history & politics in the United States, the politics of sexual orientation, and the experiences of those of us who transgress the binary categories of gay/straight, masculine/feminine, black/white and/or male/female. Her writings have been published in numerous bisexual, women's studies, multicultural, and GLBT anthologies. She lives in Massachusetts, and on May 17th, 2004--on the first day it was legal to do so--Robyn Ochs married Peg Preble.

MEADOWLARK BUILDERS TO SHOWCASE TWO HOMES IN THIS YEAR�S REMODELERS HOME TOUR

Ann Arbor, MI � Meadowlark Builders will feature two remodel projects at the Remodelers Home Tour on October 9-11, 2009.

The first project is in its first phase of a full remodel/addition. As part of this project, Meadowlark Builders designed long-term goals for the entire house with future plans in mind. For this phase the first floor was remodeled including a mudroom addition and full custom kitchen renovation. Interior walls were altered to improve sight lines and traffic patterns in the home.

The second Meadowlark project on this tour is Michigan�s second LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum remodel.
