"Codependency" will be presented on December 15, 2009; 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm; by Ronald E. Harrison, SW; Chemical Dependency Therapist. This program will discuss the symptoms and progression of codependency and describe actions that help codependent people to recover from codependency. This program is part of the Dawn Farm Education Series, a FREE, annual workshop series developed to provide accurate, helpful, hopeful, practical, current information about chemical dependency, recovery, family and related issues; and to dispel the myths, misinformation, secrecy, shame and stigma that prevent chemically dependent individuals and their families from getting help and getting well. Workshops are free and open to anyone interested in attending, including people with alcoholism/addiction, people in recovery, people interested in recovery, family members/friends and others affected by chemical dependency, people who work with chemically dependent individuals, students, people interested in any topic for any reason � ALL ARE WELCOME! Registration is not required. 1.5 hours of free C.E. approved by MCBAP (Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals) is offered for each workshop. Henry Feinberg, a native of Detroit , grew up listening to and studying classical piano. The sounds of the Motor City along with an introduction to the Chicago blues fueled his interest and love of American �roots� music. Since the 80s, Henry has played both solo and with numerous blues, bluegrass, jazz and pop ensembles. His compositions have been played by jazz ensembles in various settings including the Montreux-Detroit Jazz Festival. He has lectured extensively and authored many articles on both blues piano and harmonica styles and studied composition with Stanley Hollingsworth. Henry graduated with a MM in Music Composition from Oakland University in June of 2000. He is currently teaching Music Composition and the History of Rock and Roll at Oakland Community College . His composition, �Victimless Crime� was commercially released in June of 2006 on the Psychostasia label and has received critical acclaim and radio airplay in both Europe and Japan . There will be big rallies in big cities, and incredible creative actions across the globe: mountain climbers on our highest peaks with banners, underwater demonstrations in island nations threatened by sea level rise, churches and mosques and synagogues and ashrams engaged in symbolic action, star athletes organizing mass bike rides--and hundreds upon hundreds of community events to raise awareness of the need for urgent action.

Every event will highlight the number 350--and people will gather at some point for a big group photo depicting that all important message.

The thousands of events on October 24 will drive 350 and all that it represents into the human imagination, and change the negotiating environment as we head towards the crucial UN Climate Negotiations in Copenhagen in December of 2009. Copenhagen may well be the pivotal moment that determines whether or not we get the planet out of the climate crisis, and your actions on October 24 will help our leaders realize we need a real solution that pays attention to the science.

Robyn Ochs is a long-time activist, and the editor of the Bisexual Resource Guide and the new anthology Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World (2nd edition).

Robyn has taught courses on GLBT history & politics in the United States, the politics of sexual orientation, and the experiences of those of us who transgress the binary categories of gay/straight, masculine/feminine, black/white and/or male/female. Her writings have been published in numerous bisexual, women's studies, multicultural, and GLBT anthologies. She lives in Massachusetts, and on May 17th, 2004--on the first day it was legal to do so--Robyn Ochs married Peg Preble.

MEADOWLARK BUILDERS TO SHOWCASE TWO HOMES IN THIS YEAR�S REMODELERS HOME TOUR

Ann Arbor, MI � Meadowlark Builders will feature two remodel projects at the Remodelers Home Tour on October 9-11, 2009.

The first project is in its first phase of a full remodel/addition. As part of this project, Meadowlark Builders designed long-term goals for the entire house with future plans in mind. For this phase the first floor was remodeled including a mudroom addition and full custom kitchen renovation. Interior walls were altered to improve sight lines and traffic patterns in the home.
