This is a natural wood cradle. It can rock or it has tabs that can be locked to prevent it from swaying. The cradle has been used. The reason the price is so low is because our dog has chewed on the base. This could be easily sanded down and refinished but to be honest it never bothered me too much so I didn't do it. I used it this way for 3 little ones. Other then the legs there are only a few nicks here or there on the cradle at all. It is a great price for a solid wood cradle. And it can be used for so much longer then a bassinet since it is bigger. It also comes with the upgraded thicker matress (the matress alone cost $25) and 1 white sheet that is in excellent condition.
